Mayor Bloomberg of New York City, and his merry band of statist accomplices, believe that it is government's job to protect you from yourself through a series of liberty killing laws limiting your freedoms. Smoking has been all but restricted to hidden alleys, any large soda has been targeted, and they are even considering limiting the size of popcorn in theaters and banning milk shakes outright.
When does this kind of madness stop? When does the authoritarians realize that they are no different than every other totalitarian in history?
New York has even proposed banning skimpy clothing on female riders in cabs.
Yet, these are the same people who would like to legalize marijuana.
Oh, and yes, I realize Bloomberg claims to be a Republican, but obviously liberalism infects more than just the democrat party.
